Nolan's 9th Birthday

I can't believe Nolan turned 9 this year (I'm going to say that every time my kids have a birthday). Time sure flies when you're raising three lil' wild ones. Well, let's start with the pictures above. These were taken the day of his birthday. He asked for a strawberry rhubarb pie...so that's what I made him. It was soooo yummy. It's his favorite. He didn't ask for anything specific for his birthday so we got him dirt bike riding gear. He LOVED it, if you can't already tell from the expression on his face! Cody and Dylan gave him Dr. Pepper and Oreos. And his friend B-Dog gave him some TechDeck's. He had a great day.

This year was also his friends party. I made him a dirt bike cake the best I could. It was slowly falling backwards but he still liked it. We had his friends bring their bikes and we had some races up in the dirt hills. Then we broke the pinata and then most of the kids went home. Only two stayed for cake and ice cream because it was getting late. Overall, it was a good time. Only nine more years and he'll be an adult.....scary!!!

March 2010

So here is what happened in March. Nathan had a birthday...he is now 33!! So the kids were not going to let him get away without birthday spanks. So here is the nice pic of him getting 33 from each of them. He said his butt hurt when they were done. It was quite comical.

Next, we headed down to Vegas with my dad and brother, Jason. We had a really great time. We did the usual. Walk the strip, play at the pool and relax. It was a little chilly but the hot tub was really nice. The kids had fun and I'm sure we'll be back down again next year.

Cody Man's Birthday

So our Cody turned six this month. He had his first friends birthday party. He asked for a krabby patty cake so we had a Spongebob party. The kids played games like, krabby patty relay, sponge toss, a pinata and pin the jellyfish. They all had a great time. Stacy Munns came over and helped me with all the kids. Thanks Stacy! Anyhow, time is going fast and I can't believe he is in Kindergarten now.

The Day of Nolan's Birthday

So the morning started off with Nate going on a controlled burn. I got up and made Nolan his favorite breakfast which is, Danish Hotcakes. After that we headed to the house fire. We got there a bit late, but oh well. At least we got to see some flamage. Afterward, Nolan and Cody headed to their friends birthday party. Once they got home they headed out to ride the dirt bike. That evening we had manicotti, which that's what I thought Nolan had explained to me, until I pulled it out of the oven......he meant fettuccine alfredo! All the time I spent prepping it..aahhh! I hope he had a good birthday with his family. Next year he can have a party with his friends.

Nate said he will fight fire on the ground. The ladder is a bit shaky.

This is what Cody gave him.... a Webkinz, Dr. Pepper, and fruit by the foot.

Party on Wayne!

Nolan was shocked that he got Heely's. Now he just needs lots of practice ; )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOLAN!!!!

So our first born turned 8 last Saturday! Wow, the years have flown by! Nolan is such a terrific kid. He is such a hard worker. He always gets the giggles when he is trying to tell the truth (makes it hard for us to know if he really is telling the truth). He loves baseball, playing with his trucks, tractors, and hot wheels. He enjoys riding his dirt bike, riding Uncle Brooks wheelers, and doing anything physical outside. Most of the time he plays nice with Cody. He likes to read to Dylan. He also likes to play Rockband with his parents.....he is getting better at the guitar. He gets a kick out of doing something nice for us and then surprising us with it. It's sad to think that in ten years he will be 18. Is there any way to slow that down? Well, I thought I would share pictures of his birthday's past. It was fun to see how much he has grown. Enjoy!

#8 Not the best picture of him.....he doesn't like cake anymore so this year he asked for a rhubarb, and a chocolate peanut butter cream pie.

#7 Had to be a Broncos cake for Jon Elway.
I look like trash....very pregnant...no make up. SCARY!!!

#6 Aaarrr captain! Me first treasure cake!

#5 Rock on!!

#4 Nolan's first ice cream cake with fighter jets like his Grandpa flew!

#3 Nolan's birthday was on Easter this year so I chose this cake!

#1 And last but not least his first birthday. He has grown up way too fast. Tear, sniff.

Cody-Man's Birthday

Happy birthday to our boy Cody!!!! I cannot believe he is 5 now! My how time flies. We spent his birthday weekend up at Lake Tahoe with my parents (it's just about a half way point for both of us). We stayed up at Harrah's and just played at the pool. That's all he wanted to do besides playing games. I couldn't think of actual games to play considering there were not any little kids invited over for an official birthday party. So we found an arcade room and took him and Nolan there. He said that was great. Then on his actual birthday we went to Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe. It's a really nice place to swim. Nice sandy beach, rocks to jump off from, and a boat dock. Hopefully one day we will be unloading a boat into it : ) Anyhow, I'm glad he is apart of our family. He sure tells us some funny stories. He has a very big imagination and is always making us laugh. Happy birthday buddy!

While we were staying up there, my Dad (who walks everyday without fail) was out on one of his walks and saw this mama bear in the dumpster with her 2 cubs. He called us and told us which hotel they were behind and he got in the truck and drove over there. It was awesome. The bears were just hanging out in the dumpster looking for food. So here are some pictures that Nate got of them.
........So I can't figure out the whole slideshow thing. Check back later and hopefully I'll have those bear and birthday pix posted.
